Crab On A Rocky Shoreline With Waves Coloring Page

A crab faces you head on and takes up most of this page. Its carapace is wide and low, divided into plated sections by curved seams, with smaller panels worked into the front edge above the mouthparts. Both claws are raised and held out to the sides, each one built from several jointed segments that narrow to a pair of pincer tips.

Four walking legs reach down on each side, banded along their length and finishing in sharp points that plant among the rocks. Plain circles sit on the shell and again on the upper arms, part of the same plating rather than markings to match.

Underneath, a bed of smooth rounded boulders is stacked two deep, each stone outlined separately with a light crease or two suggesting its surface. Long flowing lines run left and right behind the crab for the water, curling into small spirals at the ends. A single scrolled ornament with a ribbed disc at its center sits in the top right corner, and the rest of the upper page is open. That contrast between a crowded lower half and an empty upper one is what keeps the shell from feeling overwhelming.
