Letter H Is for House Coloring Page

A hollow capital H and a hollow lowercase h sit across the top of this page, and a simple house with a pitched roof, one door and two square windows stands below them. The capital H is made of three straight strokes, two upright posts joined by a bar across the middle, and it is one of the few capitals a child can draw without lifting the pencil off a straight path. The lowercase h keeps one tall post and replaces the second with a single arch, which is the same arch that appears in n and m elsewhere in this set. The house is deliberately plain. It has no brickwork, no roof tiles and no garden, just a handful of large closed shapes, so a child can decide what colour the walls are and fill the windows in without fighting a lot of small detail.
