Two dolphins chase each other nose to tail inside a heavy braided Celtic border, one filling the upper half of the circle and one the lower, so the pair together close a ring. That knot is the densest line work in the whole dolphin set, three interlaced strands running the full way around.

Interlace only works if the over and under reading stays clear. Pick two colors and alternate them strictly along each strand as it passes over and under, rather than coloring by region. It takes discipline for the first quarter of the circle and then becomes obvious.

Both animals are drawn plainly on purpose. They are the calm center against a frame doing a great deal, so a single flat tone on each dolphin is usually the right call.
