A single large dolphin fills nearly the whole page, its body packed with zentangle pattern: concentric circles and spirals across the back, dotted clusters along the flank, leaf and petal shapes running out into the tail flukes and both flippers. Head and beak are left almost bare, which gives the design somewhere to breathe.
No order is correct, but one is easier. Work outward from the largest spirals, decide early which two or three colors will repeat, and treat every remaining shape as a variation on those. Giving each cell its own color turns the pattern into noise.
That empty head is the strongest tool on the sheet. A pale face against a dense patterned body reads as a portrait rather than as wallpaper, so resist the urge to fill it in at the end.
This is the most demanding design here. Fine tipped pens or sharp pencils only, and expect two to three hours if you finish it in one sitting. Made for adults.
