A baby sloth hangs upside down beneath a branch, gripping it with all four limbs, its face turned round toward you and wearing the slow contented expression sloths always seem to have.
Each limb ends in three long curved claws hooked over the branch, and those claws are drawn clearly enough to be worth coloring separately. The body hanging below is left completely open, with just a soft fringe of fur marks around its outer edge and nothing at all through the middle, so the largest area on the sheet is also the easiest.
The face has a pale patch around each eye drawn as an outline only, so both eyes sit inside their own small enclosed shapes. That gives a young child three separate areas to work with on the face alone.
Above, one branch runs the width of the page with a few leaves on it, and nothing has been drawn behind. No jungle, no vines.
Sloths are gray brown and slightly green from the algae that grows in their coat, which is a genuinely useful fact here: a gray body with a faint wash of green over it looks odd in theory and completely right on the page. The face patches take a deeper brown and the claws look best left pale.
