Her hair does most of the work on this page. It falls from a center part in long ribbons that separate into roughly forty strands, each one closed at both ends, so you can treat every ribbon as its own shape and build a highlight simply by leaving two or three of them pale. The face is turned three quarters toward the viewer and the linework there stays spare: brows, lashes, a soft mouth, no shading marks to fight with.
Five lilies open around her, two at the lower left, two at the lower right, and one tucked behind her shoulder near the top. Each has six pointed petals with a raised center rib and a spray of stamens rising from the throat, and those stamens are the one place on the sheet where a dark accent really pays off.
