Sunflowers With Ornate Art Nouveau Border Decoration Coloring Page

Three sunflowers are packed into the lower two thirds of this panel, the middle one facing forward and the two beside it turned at an angle, each with a seed disk rendered as a fine spiral stipple. Two large heart shaped leaves and a thick stem fill the space beneath them. The border around all of it is the heaviest in this set: a ruled frame, bands of scrollwork down every side, and a dark solid floral motif in each of the four corners. Inside the frame, behind the flowers, lies a faint field of curling lines drawn lightly enough to ignore. The page already has its dark anchors in those corners, so it can carry a lot of color without falling apart. The seed disks reward a circular scribbling motion with a brown pencil rather than a flat fill, because that picks out the spiral. The pale background swirls are optional, and leaving them white is the sensible default, since filling them will push the border and the flowers into competition with each other.
