Children Swimming At The Local Pool Coloring Page

Three children are in the water along the near side of a pool. The one on the left is seen in profile with her chin lifted and her hair gathered up behind, one arm reaching down into the water. In the middle a child with a straight bob faces forward, both arms out ahead and ripples spreading around them. On the right another child raises one hand in a wave, wearing a striped top.

The pool takes the lower half of the sheet and is built almost entirely from long horizontal lines that ripple and break as they cross. Behind the far edge runs a shelf of potted plants, a standing lamp, a bank of flowers and a wide grinning cat float.

Above all of that, the upper third is scattered with small round doodles: spirals, blossoms, a leaf, a rolled shape and a filled circle, floating loose against the paper. Two large open flowers anchor the bottom corners. There is a lot going on, so this one suits a colorist who likes a busy page and does not mind hopping from one small shape to the next.
