Water dropping over a cliff into a boulder pool, framed by dense ferns and flowers. One for older hands.

Water drops in one sheet over a rock lip near the top of the page, runs down a tall cliff face in long straight lines, and spreads into a shallow pool scattered with rounded boulders. The framing is where most of the work sits. Trees lean in from both upper corners, ferns and thick foliage crowd in along both sides, and banks of open flowers fill the lower left and lower right. Two birds cross the sky above the falls. The linework in the leaves is fine and there is a great deal of it, so this belongs to an adult or a confident older child rather than a first attempt.
Try one rule on it and nothing else: vertical strokes for the falling water, horizontal strokes for the pool. That alone makes the fall read as moving and the pool read as still, and it is the quickest lesson this page has to teach. Keep both far paler than the rock around them.
Waterfalls travel. The falling water wears away the base of the cliff until the lip above it breaks off, and the whole fall retreats slowly upstream, year on year, dragging the landscape backwards with it.
