Waterfall Hidden In An Enchanted Glowing Forest Coloring Page

Somebody has clearly wandered off the map here. A waterfall tumbles out of a hollow in an ancient tree-covered slope, and the whole scene is dotted with glowing orbs, mushrooms with spots on their caps, and small drifting lights the artist drew as circles with soft rays. A curving path leads into the picture from the front. The shapes are simple and generously sized, which makes this a favorite with children of about four to nine who like a story to go with their coloring.

This is the page to break out anything that shines. Gel pens, metallic pencils and highlighters all belong here. The trick is restraint elsewhere: color the trees and rocks in deep, muted greens and browns, then let only the orbs and mushroom caps be bright. Glow needs darkness around it to work.

Glowing forests are not entirely invented. Several species of fungus genuinely give off a faint green light at night, a phenomenon with the old name foxfire, and people once used pieces of glowing rotten wood as a very dim natural lantern.
