Waterfall At Night With Moonlight And Stars Coloring Page
A night page drawn in reverse: the sky and cliff are shaded heavily and the water is left to glow.

A full moon sits high above a waterfall, and the artist has drawn the whole scene in reverse, with heavy shading through the sky and the cliff and the water left almost bare so it glows. Stars are scattered across the top of the sheet, a few of them drawn with small radiating points, and the moon's reflection breaks into fragments on the pool below. This is a detailed page and an unusual one, because most of your work will be adding darkness rather than color.
Plan before you start. Decide that the water and the moon stay untouched paper, then build the sky with layered indigo, violet and black, pressing hardest at the corners. Coming down onto the cliff, keep everything cool and desaturated. A single warm accent, perhaps one lit window if you place a cabin in, will carry enormous weight against all that blue.
Moonlight really can make a rainbow. At places such as Cumberland Falls in Kentucky and Victoria Falls in Africa, a bright enough moon throws a faint lunar rainbow through the spray, which people call a moonbow.
