Tall Narrow Mushroom With A Pointed Cap Coloring Page

A narrow mushroom rises almost the full height of this page under a cap that tapers to a point, more steeple than umbrella. Bold lines run down the outside of that cap from tip to rim, splitting it into long panels you can color one at a time. A plain ring circles the stem just below the cap. At the base, a cluster of grass blades stands up around the foot and anchors the whole thing to the ground. Tall narrow subjects are oddly satisfying to color because you can work top to bottom in order and watch the page fill. The cap panels invite alternating tones. Run light and dark around the cone and the shape immediately reads as round rather than flat. Species like this really do grow in woodland, usually in muted fawn and buff tones, so a restrained palette is the realistic choice. The panels take a bright treatment perfectly well if realism is not what anyone had in mind.
