Mushrooms Growing Around A Tree Trunk Coloring Page

A broad tree trunk rises straight up through the middle of this page and runs off the top edge, which is exactly what a trunk should do. Long bark lines travel up its length with clear paper between them. Around the base, mushrooms of several heights crowd in on both sides, some tall with open caps and some still low and rounded. Grass and small leaves fill the ground between them. Two surfaces meet here and they want different treatments. The bark takes long directional strokes that follow the lines already drawn, while the mushroom caps take smooth even fills. Letting the trunk stay a muted brown or gray keeps it in the background and pushes the mushrooms forward, which is how the scene reads in real woodland.
