Mushrooms Beside A Forest Stream Coloring Page

Water runs down through this page from top to bottom, winding as it goes. Ripple lines lie across the surface of the stream with clear paper between them, and smooth pebbles sit along the near bank. A cluster of mushrooms grows on that bank at the left, while tall reeds stand up behind the far side, each one ending in a narrow seed head. Grass fills the gaps along the edges. This is the fullest landscape in the collection and the one with the most going on. The stream itself is what makes this sheet worth slowing down for. Leaving most of the stream white and coloring only between the ripple lines gives a far more convincing surface than filling it solid blue, because light on moving water is mostly gaps. The reeds want a cooler tone than the mushrooms so the two banks separate. Anyone working with colored pencils will get more out of this sheet than out of any other page here.
