Mushroom House With A Chimney Coloring Page

Smoke means somebody is home. A short chimney pokes up through the top of this mushroom cap with a curl of smoke rising from it, which immediately turns the drawing from a plant into a house. Below, an arched door sits in the stem with a round knob, and the cap carries a scatter of open circles across its surface. A gentle rise of ground runs along the bottom with grass tufts on either side. The smoke curl is the lightest line on the page and the easiest thing to leave alone. White or the palest gray works best, since smoke that gets colored too strongly stops reading as smoke. Everything else can take a firmer hand. Children who like this page usually want the whole fairy village, and this collection has several more, including a cottage behind a picket fence and a house with a spiral stair winding up its stem.
