Mouse Family Sheltering Under A Mushroom Coloring Page

Two mice stand close together under the cap of a large mushroom, using it as a roof. Both have big round ears, bright eyes and long curling tails, and they lean in toward each other in a way that reads as company rather than coincidence. The cap stretches wide above them with gills showing underneath, and the ground runs across the page below with grass at the edges. The mushroom is the biggest shape here and the mice are small, so the obvious trap is coloring the cap so strongly that the characters vanish underneath it. Keep the cap soft and put the detail into the mice. Their ears take a pale pink almost universally, and the tails are a single sweeping line that benefits from one confident color. Shelter scenes have a warmth to them that children pick up on without being told. This one is a favorite with the youngest colorists in particular.
