Swallowtail Butterfly In A Lush Garden Scene Coloring Page
A swallowtail opens its wings above a flower bed, each hindwing drawn into the long tapering tail the species is named for.

The tails are the point of this page. Each hindwing narrows and runs out into a long slender streamer that drops well below the rest of the wing and widens slightly at the tip, and that shape is what separates a swallowtail from every other butterfly on the shelf.
Above them the forewings open wide, divided by veins into large clear panels, with a row of oval spots following the lower margin of each hindwing just where the tail begins. The antennae reach up and finish in small open loops, left unfilled like everything else here. A banded abdomen runs down the middle between the wings.
Across the bottom of the sheet a garden bed runs from edge to edge. Round faced flowers on upright stems sit among long pointed leaves, with buds and smaller blooms filling the spaces in between.
Five small butterflies are scattered around the big one. One drifts in at the top left, three cluster together in the top right corner, and the fifth perches at the right hand edge roughly halfway down, directly above a tall stem of paired leaves. Line weight stays light and even throughout, and the wings reward mirroring your choices side to side.
