A six pointed star sits at the middle of this mandala inside a plain circle, its bands drawn as though they interlace over and under one another wherever they cross. Around that circle a second, twelve pointed star reaches out to form the outline of the sheet, and between the two lie several rings of simple curved and angular cells. The whole thing is drawn in a thin even line with no shading of any kind, and a great deal of white paper is left inside the larger shapes. This is the most open page in the geometric group and by some distance the quickest, with perhaps fifty regions in total. The interlacing at the middle is the one place where the drawing rewards care: coloring the bands so each keeps a consistent color as it passes over and under the others makes the weave read properly, and coloring them at random destroys it. Everything outside the circle is straightforward and takes flat color well. The corners of the sheet stay empty, which suits anyone who likes to add a border of their own.
