Geometric Mandala With Concentric Polygon Layers Coloring Page

The shapes on this mandala are the largest and cleanest in the geometric group, which makes it the obvious starting point if the denser designs here look forbidding. Around twenty rounded polygons form the outer ring, each big enough to fill in a few seconds. Inside them runs a single bold circle drawn in a much thicker line than anything else, and within that sit two further rings of smaller cells tapering down to a sharp pointed star at the middle. Everything is outlined in confident even black with no hatching, no stipple and no fine work anywhere. That heavy inner circle is a gift. It divides the design cleanly into an outside and an inside, which means you can treat the two halves as separate color schemes and they will still hold together. Warm outside and cool inside is the standard trick and it works here. The page finishes comfortably in half an hour with markers, or takes an hour with pencils if you decide to grade each ring, and it looks deliberate either way.
