Angular Radiant Sunburst Geometric Mandala Coloring Page

A sunburst opens across this page in three ranks of long lance shaped petals, each rank set into the gaps of the one before it so the outline resolves into a ring of about forty points. The longest petals reach nearly to the edges of the sheet. Every petal is a simple closed shape with one line running up its middle, and the inner ranks carry small notched cuts along their edges that break up what would otherwise be a plain repeat. At the middle sits a bold double circle, a heavy ring enclosing a clean white disc. This is an open, legible design with around sixty regions and no fine work anywhere, which puts it among the quicker mandalas here without making it a beginner page. The three ranks are an obvious invitation to three colors, and running them light to dark from the outside inward makes the sun appear to recede toward its middle. The white disc at the center is the one place to be decisive. Filled with the strongest color on the page it becomes the source of the light, and left white it becomes a hole straight through.
