Basic Mandala With Concentric Circles Design Coloring Page
A strictly concentric mandala builds outward from a beaded middle through narrow petals to a ring of tall lotus tips.

The construction here is completely regular, which is the appeal. A small circle of beads sits at the exact middle, then a tight rosette of narrow petals, then a wider ring of petals ruled with chevron lines that follow their shape, then two bold circles, and finally a ring of tall lotus tips with dotted edges around the outside. Nothing is asymmetric and nothing is off center. That makes it an ideal page for practicing a graded palette: pick one color and work from its darkest value at the middle out to its palest at the rim, or reverse it and pull the eye inward. The chevron lines inside the middle ring do much of the shading for you, so a single flat tone laid over them will still look modeled. Despite the word basic in the title this is a dense drawing with several hundred separate areas, and it will take an hour or more to finish properly. Pencils suit it better than markers, which bleed across the thin divisions between petals.
