Paired Mirrored Butterflies Forming A Circular Mandala Coloring Page

Two butterflies share the middle of this page, one above and one below, meeting so closely that their wings form a single four-part shape. Linework stays light throughout. Each wing carries a scattering of round spots along its outer edge and a few soft cells inside, while slender antennae curl up from the point where the pair meets. Radiating outward, slim pointed shapes like leaves and small kites reach toward the edges, spaced widely enough that white paper shows between every one.

This is the airiest design in the butterfly mandala set, and it prints beautifully at full size.

All that open room changes the strategy. On a crowded mandala the background is already decided, but here you can leave it white, fill it solid, or run a soft gradient behind the whole figure. Try the gradient. Keep both butterflies light and let the paper around them darken toward the corners, and the pair will appear to float rather than sit.
