The butterfly here is less a picture of an insect than the center of a pattern. Its upper wings are divided into long teardrop cells fanning out from the body, the lower pair repeats them at half the size, and behind the whole thing a rosette of sharp petals radiates to the edges of the design, each petal holding a nested outline of its own. A large faint circle passes through the petal tips and ties the arrangement together. The border is where the Art Deco reference lives: a thick black square frame with stepped fans in every corner and elongated eye shapes worked into them, drawn far heavier than anything inside it. Because that frame is already almost solid, the inner design needs saturated color to hold its own, and pale pencil work will simply disappear. Work outward in rings, giving every petal in a ring the same color, then change color for the next ring. Treat the butterfly last so you can pick something not already used. The corner fans can stay black.
