Here is the back of the bus rather than its front, filling most of the sheet and turned just enough that one flank runs away to the right. Two long rounded windows stack up the rear of the upper deck, the higher of the pair close under the roof edge. A beading strip with two short posts on it marks the join between the decks. Below that the back panel is given over to vents: a broad field of close horizontal slats, then a second narrower block of vertical slats under it, with a plain round lamp standing out on either side. Follow the flank to the right and you pass a row of upper windows, a row of lower ones, and the open boarding platform at the far corner. Brick terraces close in on both sides with sash windows and arched heads over them, iron railings run along the pavement, a tall cast iron lamp stands at the left, and the road lines stretch off past the rear wheel.

Brickwork on both sides plus two panels of slats makes this a sheet for fine pens. Work the vents in one direction throughout so they hold together, then let the terraces go lighter than the bus itself.
