A fork stands straight up the middle of the page with a donut speared on it. The four prongs rise clear at the top, each one drawn as a long narrow open shape. Below them the donut hangs on the neck of the fork, tilted so its glazed face turns toward you, and the long handle runs from there down to the bottom edge. The donut carries a wavy glaze edge and a ring of small oval sprinkles, and its hole sits open in the middle with the fork passing through. The composition is the unusual part. Almost every donut coloring page lies its subject flat, and this one stands it upright on a stem, which gives the sheet a strong vertical line right through the center. That makes it a good page for a tall narrow frame if you plan to put the finished work on a wall. Coloring is straightforward. The fork takes a single metallic gray or silver, the cake takes a warm tone, and the glaze and sprinkles take everything else. Leaving the fork white also works well, because the untouched metal then reads as shine against a fully colored donut.
