Noah's Ark on the Water Coloring Page

Noah's ark is one of the most recognized bible story images, and this sheet keeps it roomy and approachable for young colorists. The ark sits on calm water built from simple curved wave lines, broad enough that a child can work a blue crayon along them without lifting it. Two giraffes stretch their necks above the roofline and two elephants stand on the deck, giving four large animal shapes to fill in before moving to the ark itself. The dove in flight holds a tiny olive branch, which is a small detail that rewards careful work with a fine-tipped pen. The hull is a wide plain rectangle with a clear outline and a single oval window, so the overall composition divides into a handful of easy zones. Nothing in the picture has fine interior lines or tight shading areas. Print it for Sunday school story time on Noah and the flood, for a lesson on kindness to animals, or as a starter sheet for a bible story unit with young children. The page sits well beside the rainbow ark sheet for a two-page sequence.
