This page sets a hollow capital K beside a hollow lowercase k and puts a diamond kite below them, its long tail carrying three small bows. K is built from a straight post and two diagonal arms that meet against it, and the capital and lowercase share that structure almost exactly, with the lowercase simply shrinking the arms and keeping the post tall. That makes K one of the more forgiving letters to learn once a child can already draw a straight line. The kite is a useful partner for it because the diamond is itself four straight strokes, so the whole sheet quietly practises the same skill twice. The kite divides into four triangular panels that children often colour in different shades, and the three bows on the tail give three small extra targets at the end. Print it for an alphabet unit, for a windy day topic, or alongside the other outdoor pages in this set. The lines are thick enough throughout that the sheet still reads clearly if it is photocopied.
