New Year Celebration Cake With Numbered Candles Coloring Page

New Year arches across the top of the page in tall hollow capitals, and below it sits a wide round cake on a shallow plate. Seven candles stand along the top in an uneven line, each one striped on the diagonal and lit with a teardrop flame left open so the flame can take a different color from the wax. Worth saying plainly: the candles carry no numbers on them, whatever the title leads you to expect, so the year is yours to write on or leave off. The cake itself is built in bands. A rope of piped icing runs around the very top, then a wavy drip of frosting, then a plain horizontal ledge, then a swag of scallops hung between small dots, then a row of nine oval medallions around the base, and finally a second rope of icing where the cake meets the plate. Four small four pointed sparkles float in the white space on either side. Take the bands one at a time from the top down and the sheet colors itself in a satisfying order.
