Fireworks Spectacular Over A City Skyline Coloring Page

Two enormous bursts fill the sky above a packed city, each one made of several hundred fine rays shooting out from a single point and tipped with a small dart. Below them the skyline runs the full width of the paper and stands three or four buildings deep, so towers overlap towers: a stepped spire on the left, a broad slab with a needle mast at the center, a crown of arches to its right, and low blocks of windows filling in behind. Every facade is ruled into small panes, which is where most of the work on this page is. The sky between the bursts is dusted with tiny open stars and rings. An ornamental border frames all four sides, growing into a heavy flourish in each corner where scrolls, leaves and a few filled petals knot together. Those corners are already dark, so plan around them and treat them as the frame rather than as something to fill. Give this one a fine nib, take a single district of the skyline at a time, and do not expect to finish it in a sitting.
