A heavy wall clock takes the left of this page and a tall window takes the right. Both of the clock hands stand together in one straight line pointing at the top of the face, which is the whole reason the sheet exists. Twelve teardrop markers ring the face instead of numbers, so there is nothing written anywhere on it and nothing to date the page. Through the window two fireworks are breaking open. Each one is a plain white circle at the middle with long thin rays firing out all the way around, and the rays spill past the window frame into the room, which ties the two halves together. The face itself is a wide empty disc, and it is the most tempting area here. A pale wash across it will make the black hands read clearly, or you can ring it with color and leave the middle white. Keep the clock rim dark and heavy. Then work the two bursts in the lightest shades you own so they look like they are giving off light rather than sitting flat.
