Blank Celebration Sign Coloring Page

This sheet is deliberately unfinished. A wide rectangular board hangs from two cords, its edge cut into soft scallops along the top and bottom and gently waved down each side, with a small star tucked against the frame on either hand. The middle of the board is completely empty. That empty panel is the point of the page. It is room to write a name, a date, a new year wish or a message for somebody, in whatever lettering the person holding the pen feels like using. Younger children can fill the border and leave an adult to write the words, while older ones can lay out a phrase themselves and decorate around it. Used as a party decoration it can be printed several times over, filled in differently each time and strung along a wall. The border and the cords give enough to color that the sheet does not feel bare before the writing goes in, and the plain panel takes pencil and felt tip equally well.
