Count the butterflies first, because there are more of them than you expect. Six work their way around the flowers, three across the top and three tucked in among the petals lower down, and every pair of wings carries its own arrangement of spots, bands and fine cell shapes with a slim body and curled antennae between them.
The flowers underneath are daisies and cosmos in several sizes. Each has a ring of long rounded petals set around a domed middle filled with dense stippling, and those dark eyes are what hold the bunch together visually. Slim buds on wiry stems poke up between the open blooms, and broad pointed leaves gather at the base where the stalks bundle.
Scattered across the empty paper are dozens of small open circles of varying size, drifting upward like bubbles. Light swirling flourishes sit in all four corners and barely register against the white.
The centers are the fussiest part of this sheet and also the most rewarding. Work them in a deep tone with a fine point before you touch a single petal, and the whole bunch lifts off the page.
