The vampire stands with his cape held wide, high collar up, fangs showing in a grin that is more theatrical than menacing. It is a party scene, so candles, a punch bowl and other guests are suggested behind him. The detailed version gives the cape a brocade lining pattern and the waistcoat its own damask, and that is where the bulk of the work sits.
The patterned lining is an invitation. Do the outside of the cape in one flat dark color, black or deep charcoal, then make the lining as ornate as you like in reds and golds. The contrast between a plain outside and a busy inside is exactly the effect stage costumes use. Skin should be pale but not white, a faint pink or lilac laid very lightly.
That high collar is a stage invention. It was added for the 1924 London play so the actor could turn upstage and appear to vanish through a trapdoor with his face hidden. Bram Stoker's novel puts Dracula in plain black with no cape at all.
