Gingerbread Man and a Mug of Cocoa Coloring Page

Those marshmallows are the detail to look at. There are six of them, drawn as soft cornered cubes that overlap one another, and because they sit inside the mug rather than floating above it they read instantly as a drink rather than as scattered blocks.

The cookie keeps two open circle buttons, a zigzag of icing at each wrist, a scalloped cuff above each rounded foot, and a face of two dot eyes and a curved smile.

Keeping the figure and the mug apart gives this sheet its character. Neither shape overlaps the other, so a child colors two complete objects instead of untangling where one ends and the next begins, and the strip of white between them stays as a natural gap in the finished picture.

Both shapes together fill most of the width of the paper and stand clear of its edges.
