Gingerbread House With a Gumdrop Path Coloring Page

A gingerbread house with round candies along the roof and four big gumdrops making a path to the door. An easy one for younger children.

Four big oval gumdrops step away from the front door and run off the bottom of the page, each one large enough to fill with a single color. They are the easiest shapes on the sheet and the obvious place for a small child to begin.

Behind them the house sits on a low curved hill. Its steep roof carries a line of round swirled candies along both slopes, drawn as circles with a small spiral inside, and more of the same run in two vertical chains down the front corners. A round window sits high in the gable, and the arched door below has a scalloped icing edge over the top of it and two panes set into its upper half.

Soft snow mounds sit at the base of each corner chain, with a couple of grass tufts poking up beside them.

Because nearly every decoration on this house is a circle, the page works well as a counting exercise as much as a coloring one. Count the swirls along the left slope, then the right, then the gumdrops on the path. The hill line reaches both edges of the paper, so the house has somewhere to stand without any shading at all.
