A bearded grandfather and two grandchildren lean over a half finished jigsaw, and every piece has its own edge.

The jigsaw is the whole point. It lies across a long table drawn in steep perspective, broken into roughly thirty interlocking pieces, each with its own tabs and notches. You can color it as a single picture spread over all of them, or treat every piece as a separate block and let the seams show. Both look good and they look nothing alike. Grandpa sits at the near end in a buttoned henley with a full beard drawn in short strokes, holding a piece between finger and thumb. His two grandchildren are crowded together at the far end, elbows on the tabletop, the boy grinning and the girl laughing outright with a piece in her hand. The table itself is huge and completely blank apart from the puzzle, with two thick legs visible underneath. Leaving the wood pale keeps the puzzle in front. Staining it dark does the opposite and frames the whole thing. A few empty spaces are still missing from the grid, which gives you somewhere to leave white paper without it looking unfinished.
