Two adult rabbits face each other across a wide footed bowl piled high with eggs, one reaching in with a paw while the other steadies the rim. A third and much smaller rabbit stands at the right, up on its hind legs and stretching a paw toward the bowl, clearly trying to join in. Small hearts float in the space between the two adults.
The ears carry the composition. Four tall ears rise into the upper half of the sheet and give the page its shape, so whatever you choose for their inner surfaces will set the tone for everything else.
Around all four sides runs a deep border of scrollwork, curling foliage and large blooms, drawn finely enough that it reads as a frame rather than competing with the scene. A footed vase of flowers stands at the far left.
Along the bottom lie decorated eggs and several round treats, and one of those treats has a small smiling face drawn on it. This is a long sitting rather than a quick one. The border alone holds more separate shapes than most sheets in this collection carry in total.
