Snowball Fight Between Laughing Children Coloring Page

Four children are mid-battle across the page, two crouched behind a low wall of packed snow and two charging in, with snowballs drawn in the air between them and one just bursting against a shoulder. Everyone is laughing. The figures are large and boldly outlined with very little background beyond a fence and a tree, making this one of the easier winter sheets, well suited to children of about four to nine.

With four children in similar winter clothing, the useful advice is to give each one a color scheme and stick to it, so a child coloring the page can keep track of who is who. Bright contrasting jackets work best. The flying snowballs and the snow wall stay white, and a light blue shadow under each snowball will lift it off the paper.

There is a reason snowball fights are better on some days than others. Snow only packs when it is close to melting, because a thin film of water on the crystals lets them stick together. On a very cold day the snow stays dry and powdery and simply falls apart in your hands.
