Two subjects share this page and neither one touches the other. A shark crosses the top from nose to tail, facing right, with a row of teeth in a closed smile, a lashed eye, three gill lines and a deep forked tail. Below it a diver swims the same way, drawn complete: a rounded hood, a large oval mask, an air tank strapped to the back, a hose curving forward to the mouthpiece, both arms out and both legs finishing in long flippers.

The gap between them stays wide and blank, which keeps the two figures easy to color separately. Nothing overlaps, so a child can finish the shark in one sitting and come back to the diver later.

The gear is the interesting part. Put the diver in a bright suit, yellow or red, and hold the shark in grays. Divers really do choose high visibility colors, because water strips out warm light with depth and a gray wetsuit disappears fast.

Red goes first. By about five meters down most red light has already been absorbed, which is why blood looks green in underwater footage and why safety gear gets marked in yellow instead.
