Shark Fossil Skeleton Museum Display Coloring Page
A shark skeleton lies embedded in a cracked stone slab, jaws open on rows of teeth, framed by flower and scroll corner motifs.

What sets this page apart is that the animal is drawn twice over. The outer form is a complete shark, nose to tail, but inside it the skull, the jaw, the ribcage and the run of vertebrae are all picked out as separate bones. The fins are ribbed with long parallel strokes that stand for the rays underneath.
It lies in a slab of stone whose surface is broken by fine cracks radiating from behind the head. The slab does not fill the page squarely; its edges are irregular, and the white paper showing past them acts as a mount.
Four corner ornaments of flowers and curling stems frame the whole thing, and a small crescent motif sits at the top edge.
A limited palette suits this subject. Bone in cream or pale ochre against stone in gray or sand will read correctly, and the corner flowers can then take the only strong color on the sheet without competing for attention.
The jaw is the densest part of the drawing. Rows of teeth sit inside rows of teeth, and it needs a sharp point.
There is no case, no label and no gallery here, only the slab.
