Friendly Shark With Fish Friends In Coral Reef Coloring Page

Four striped fish circle a grinning shark above a bed of brain corals and branching sprigs, each fish banded for bold color.

Four striped fish share the page with the shark and all of them face different directions, which keeps your eye moving around the sheet. One hangs just in front of the shark's open mouth, apparently unworried by it. The shark itself has a broad grin and a full row of even triangular teeth, and below them all a reef runs across the bottom edge: rounded brain corals, branching sprigs, a fan and a few loose bubbles. The fish are the place to be bold. Each one carries three or four stripes drawn as separate bands, so you can make all four different without touching anything else on the page. Keep the shark in one soft tone so the fish stay the bright things in the picture. Reef color can go anywhere at all, since a real one does too. Five and up. Small fish really do keep company with sharks. Remoras hitch a ride on the skin, and at cleaning stations on the reef smaller fish will pick parasites off a shark that holds still and waits for the service.
