The wavy paper is a nice piece of drawing. It gives a young child a big, flowing shape that is far more forgiving than a straight edge, and it takes patterns well if they want to invent a printed roll.

Outlines are thick throughout and the face is large, so ages four and up will get along fine with crayons.

Puppies shred paper because tearing something that gives way easily is close to what their ancestors did with prey. That is also why swapping the roll for a designed shredding toy usually works better than telling them off.
