Dachshund Puppy With Long Body Playing Coloring Page
A dachshund puppy lies with its paws around a rope and barrel chew toy, in front of a wallpaper of open flowers and curling stems.

The dachshund on this sheet has claimed a chew toy and is not giving it up. It lies flat with both front legs stretched forward and one paw hooked over a barrel shaped toy, with a knotted rope threaded through the middle and frayed out at both ends.
Look at the ears first. They hang long and smooth down either side of the head, edged in dark line work that follows the curve of each fold. The muzzle carries a light scatter of freckle dots, the eyes are wide and alert, and fine short strokes suggest the sleek coat along the shoulders and back.
The background is a decorative wallpaper of open flowers, buds and long curling stems. Every bloom is drawn as an outline with an empty middle, and the stems wind through the gaps between them.
Two tiers of detail sit on this page. The dog itself has large clean areas that fill quickly, while the flowers behind hold dozens of small enclosed shapes. A common approach is to finish the puppy first, then choose two or three flower tones and repeat them across the background in a loose rhythm.
