A penguin stands facing you holding a large fish across its chest. The fish is easily a third of the bird's height and is drawn lying on its side, head to the right, with a rounded eye, a small smiling mouth, a spread tail at the left and two fins picked out with a few short lines each. It is the busiest object on the page and still very simple.
The penguin behind it is plainer again. The head is a smooth dome with one small solid eye and a short curved mark beside it, and a long pointed beak angles up and to the right. A second outline runs down inside the body to divide the front panel from the sides, and one flipper shows along the right edge while the other is hidden behind the fish.
Two wide webbed feet splay out at the bottom, each drawn as three rounded toes joined at the base.
Worth knowing before you start: despite the title, the fish is held in the flippers rather than in the beak. There is no background of any kind, so the whole page is the two animals on open paper.
