Make Your Own Pizza Coloring Page

This sheet arrives half finished on purpose. It gives you a whole round pizza with a thick crust and cut lines running out from the middle, and only a scattering of pepperoni already in place, so most of every slice is still empty paper waiting for whatever you want to put on it. That makes it the most useful page in the pizza collection for a classroom or a rainy afternoon, because two children working from the same printout will never hand back the same pizza. Draw your toppings first in pencil, go over them in black so they read as strongly as the crust, then color. Pepperoni is a circle. Mushroom is a circle with a stalk hanging below it. Pepper is a ring. Olive is a small circle with a smaller circle inside it. Those four shapes cover almost every real pizza, which is worth pointing out to any child who is convinced they cannot draw. The cut lines suggest a quieter way to use the page as well. Give each slice its own set of toppings, the way a family orders one pizza with two halves, and it turns into a planning exercise instead of a coloring one. Print several copies.
