Betta Fish With Flowing Fins Coloring Page

A betta trails an enormous ruffled tail that fans across two thirds of the page in long radiating lines.

Almost the whole page here belongs to one tail. The betta's body is small and sits high on the right, and everything to the left and below it is fin: a huge ruffled sweep that opens like a hand fan and reaches from the top edge down past the middle of the sheet.

That fan is drawn with long strokes radiating out from the base, dozens of them, and its outer edge is cut into soft scallops. The strokes divide it into narrow wedges. You can color those wedges individually for a stained glass effect, or ignore them and lay one wash across the whole thing, and the drawing supports either reading.

Diamond crosshatching covers the body and stops neatly at the gill line. In front of that, the head is left plain apart from a round eye with a solid center. Two long ventral fins trail down and forward from the chest, and a smaller pectoral fans just behind the gill.

Real bettas run through reds, blues and near black, often shading from body to fin tip. The radiating strokes give you a ready made guide for that gradient if you want to try it: start deep at the base and lift the pressure as you travel out toward the scalloped edge.
