Cat Sitting On A Sunny Windowsill Watching Birds Coloring Page

Seen from behind, a cat watches three birds through an open window. Spare lines and open space leave room to invent.

You are looking at the back of this cat, not its face. It sits square on a windowsill as a rounded outline with two triangular ears and a tail curled around one side, watching through an open window. Three birds share the view: one perched on a twig to the left, one on a branch ahead, and one in flight. A casement stands open on the right and a scatter of tiny blossoms sits along the bottom of the frame.

The drawing is extremely spare, just a few dozen thin lines on a large white field. That openness makes it unusually flexible. Younger children can fill the four or five big shapes, while older ones can invent the whole view through the window.

Because the animal has no drawn face, its color carries all the character. A dense black cat turns the picture into a silhouette study, and a pale one keeps it airy.

Cats watch birds through glass for long stretches and often chatter their teeth while doing it, a behavior researchers still have not fully explained.
