Cat Chasing A Butterfly In A Garden Coloring Page
A cat springs after two butterflies across an open, mostly white page. Simple shapes and wide gaps suit preschoolers.

Two butterflies lift away from a grassy rise and the cat goes after them, front paw raised, tail curved high behind. The drawing is deliberately sparse. A cluster of long leaves and small blooms anchors each side, a single line marks the ground, and everything else is open white paper.
That emptiness is the point. Preschoolers and early elementary children can fill the cat's body in a handful of strokes without crossing a line, and there is room left over to add a sun, a fence, or a second cat of their own invention.
Crayons and thick markers both work. If you want the cat to stand out from the pale background, pick a mid tone for its coat rather than yellow, which tends to disappear against white paper.
Cats stalking a moving insect crouch, then push off with the back legs, which is exactly the shape drawn here. The raised front paw is not a swipe yet. It is the pause that comes just before one.
