Start with the dewdrops. Four of them sit in a row along the top edge of the long leaf that crosses the lower half of the page, each one large enough to hold its own little pattern of curves inside, so they reward a fine pen rather than a crayon.
Above the leaf a broad butterfly opens both wings almost flat. The margins are beaded with rows of open circles, the forewing cells run long and narrow toward the tip, and the hindwings carry a second band of beads along their scalloped hem. Its abdomen is ruled into tidy segments and both antennae are dotted along their whole length.
Everything behind the insect is garden. Daisies with rayed petals, fuller blooms with layered petals, lily shapes at the bottom right, and loose spirals filling the gaps between them. Almost no bare paper is left, which is what puts this sheet in the adult tier rather than the kids one.
Dew collects overnight when the air cools past the point where it can hold its water, which is why a garden looks beaded at dawn and dry by nine.
Leave the drops white or pale blue. Water reads as water if the paper stays bright.
