Axolotl With Bubbles And Detailed Underwater Coral Coloring Page

This axolotl is caught mid-turn, its tail thrown up and back into a wide ribbed fan that takes the whole top right of the page. Rounded cells and ring patterns run down the body, breaking into zigzag bands near the hip, and a spray of gill filaments stands out behind the head.

Bubbles of six different sizes rise through the upper left, and every one is a clean empty circle. Beneath the animal, branching coral fans, ridged tube shapes and a bed of small flowering polyps pack the bottom third solid.

Those bubbles are the release valve on a crowded sheet. Left white, or given the faintest tint, they give the eye somewhere to rest. The reef below takes the loudest colors you own without overwhelming anything, because a reef is expected to be bright. For the animal itself, one base tone across the body with its ring patterns picked out a shade deeper keeps it distinct from the coral instead of blending into it.
